FIT THE SEVENTH: The Beaver’s Lesson
Each solar etching is hand printed and signed by the artist. Image sizes are consistent but as the paper is carefully ‘ripped’ by hand the outside dimensions of each print may vary slightly.
- Image size with print number and artist signature: 125 mm x 80 mm; 5 inches x 3.25 inches
- Paper size approx.: 190 mm x 145 mm; 7.5 inches x 5.75 inches
- Framed: No
Solarplate is a simple and safe approach to etching that does not use acids or solvents. It is exposed with light and developed with plain water. The process works by placing a transparency in contact with the plate and exposing it briefly to the sun or UV light.
